It’s been revealed that Zack Snyder and his wife Deborah Snyder’s production company, Stone Quarry, has signed a two-year ‘first-look’ deal with streamers Netflix.
This comes to us from The Hollywood Reporter and also confirms an article we posted back in March.
We were told that Snyder was in talks with Netflix in relation to an ‘exclusivity deal with the streamer.
What we were specifically told was that both Netflix and HBO Max were looking to have first dibs at any future projects Snyder might make with his production company, Stone Quarry.
Well, it turns out that the Snyders opted to go with Netflix, which really shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.
He’s just made one of their biggest movie hits of all time in Army Of The Dead.
They’re also about to release the prequel anime series, Army Of Thieves.
It was also revealed that Snyder would be making his next film, Rebel Moon, for Netflix.
That movie sounds really interesting and I cannot wait to see it.
Snyder himself admitted that the movie is going to be his take on Star Wars, only darker and more ‘adult’ in nature.

Here’s what Zack Snyder had to tell The Hollywood Reporter about this first-look deal with Netflix:
My goal and hope are to bring as much quality content as I can and do it on a giant scale. Big projects and big movies.
Deborah Snyder then added:
For us, it was so important to find a partnership that was based on mutual respect. The creative process works best when everybody trusts each other and you can take chances and be creative. For us, we don’t usually play it safe. The content we make is a little bit edgier. And I think it’s important to have a good partnership and hear each other. And Netflix has given us a lot of freedom. But they’ve also embraced the idea of trying new things and not necessarily waiting for a success before moving ahead.
