Zack Snyder Wants To Work With Henry Cavill Again

Zack Snyder has revealed that he cannot wait to work with the Superman actor, Henry Cavill, again, and this makes me wonder whether Zack will get to direct another DC Comics movie in the future. I’m sure many of you out there will hope this is the case. Zack revealed this during a message he sent to Cavill during an interview the Superman actor was doing with Josh Horowitz on his podcast, Happy Sad Confused.

During the interview, Josh set up a message that Zack had sent for Henry, and it was a video of Zack on the set of his upcoming Netflix movie, Rebel Moon. In the video message, Zack started off by asking the Superman actor to reflect on their early flying scenes. He ended the video message by saying the following:

I can’t wait to work with you in the future and you are, of course, the greatest Superman.

Does this mean that Zack will get to direct Henry in a Superman movie again? No, not necessarily. However, I do think that the two of them might work on something Rebel Moon-related together. It seems as though Zack is going to be making a lot of these sci-fi/action movies for Netflix, and I’m sure that he wants Cavill to be involved somehow.

Cavill then thanked the director for his message. Interestingly enough, he never actually answered the director’s question. However, he did go on to say that Zack is a lovely man. Henry said:

He’s a lovely man, and I am enormously appreciative for everything he’s done for me. Those are formative memories of mine, career-wise. It is when everything changed. I remember them fondly. … Zack if you are watching … thank you, my friend.

Zack cast Henry Cavill as Superman in the 2016 Man Of Steel movie. He was perfect for the role, and Cavill went on to play Superman in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Joss Whedon’s Justice League and Zack Snyder’s Justice League. We’ve had to wait a long time to see Cavill back as the Man Of Steel. However, five years after 2017’s Justice League, Black Adam’s post-credit scene featured the British actor back as the iconic DC Comics superhero.

The Witcher star then confirmed via his Instagram account shortly after the movie was released in cinemas that his return as Superman is not just a one-time deal. He said that it was “a very small taste of what’s to come, my friends. The dawn of hope renewed. Thank you for your patience, it will be rewarded.”

There have been some ‘scoopers’ out there who shall remain unnamed in this article who’s been claiming that Cavill’s return is just a cameo and doesn’t mean that there will be more of his Superman in the future. Well, we’ve been told that this is false. It’s actually been revealed since that DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures are accepting pitches for a future Superman standalone movie. We’ve actually been informed that Cavill is looking to be a producer on the next Superman film and wants to be a producer on all things Superman-related on the big screen.
