Wonder Woman 1984’s director has revealed that Wonder Woman and Cheetah will not be romantically involved in the upcoming movie.
I’ve been looking forward to watching Wonder Woman 1984 ever since the first movie ended.
I thought the first film, directed and written by Patty Jenkins was an incredible piece of work.
I would argue that it’s still one of the best comic book movies in the DCEU.
However, I still think the film suffers from a rather poor final third.
Anyway, it was rumoured a few days ago that Wonder Woman 1984 could feature a romance between Diana Prince and Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah.

Here’s what she told the magazine about the Cheetah and Wonder Woman love story rumours:
It might have [happened] in a different storyline. But because this storyline was so clearly about Steve (Trevor, played by Chris Pine) coming back, the whole story was about Steve. It’s all a love story with Steve. There wasn’t room for two for Diana.
So, it sounds like there won’t be a love story between the two characters after all.
The film will very much be focused on Diana and Steve as far as romance is concerned.
