This could be huge if it turns out to be true. There are rumours that Wonder Woman 3 could be Gal Gadot’s last time playing Diana Prince.
However, before you all start to cry bloody murder and try to siege the Warner Bros. Pictures offices, it could be her last time playing Diana in a Wonder Woman solo movie.
This report comes courtesy of We Got This Covered and their very informative sources, however, I suspect they might be spot on with this ‘scoop’.
There have already been reports that Patty Jenkins wants Wonder Woman 3 to be her last Wonder Woman movie, and to be honest, I completely get it.
Having to make three of these DC Comics movies must be exhausting, and there hasn’t been much space – if any – for Jenkins and Gadot to do or think of anything else.
I’m pretty sure that both Gadot and Jenkins will want to have a little time away from Wonder Woman after having made a trilogy.
It’s not like they can carry on making these movies forever.
Wonder Woman 3 might be Gal Gadot’s last outing as Diana
A lot of this, of course, rests on how well Wonder Woman 1984 performs at the box office, with fans and with critics.
However, the first Wonder Woman movie was really well received and made quite a bit of money at the box office.
We’ve recently just seen the first trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 and it looks like it’s going to be a pretty fun time at the cinema.
Gadot’s back as Diana Prince. Chris Pine is back as Steve Trevor, and we’ve got the additions of Kristen Wiig as Cheetah and Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord.
That’s a pretty darn good cast, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what this upcoming DC Comics movie has in store for us.
Wonder Woman 1984 will be hitting cinemas on June 5th, 2020 here in the UK. Will you be going to see it?
