The question of why might end up playing Wolverine in the MCU post-Hugh Jackman isn’t an easy one to answer, and it looks like Marvel Studios haven’t found it easy either.
One of the possible replacements for Hugh Jackman was Taron Egerton, but the actor since revealed there was no truth in the reports that he’s up for the role.
That said, Egerton would have made an excellent Wolverine, however, there are plenty of actors who could play the role.
One of those actors is Stranger Things star, Dacre Montgomery, who would be a really brilliant choice for the role.
It’s now being reported by We Got This Covered, that Marvel Studios are looking at Montgomery for the role of Wolverine in the MCU, which is good news if it does prove to be true.

The Australian actor of Canadian decent played Billy Hargrove in Stranger Things Seasons 2 and 3 and he also played the Red Ranger in the 2017 Power Rangers reboot.
Montgomery was particularly impressive in Stranger Things Season 3, and I’m pretty sure that his performance would have been noticed by the likes of Kevin Feige.
He has a raw energy which would be really suited to a character like Wolverine in the MCU.
It would be sad not to see Hugh Jackman back as Wolverine, yet his performance in Logan was the perfect way for him to say goodbye.
What do you think of the idea of Dacre Montgomery playing Wolverine in the MCU? Would you think he’d be a good choice for the role?
