Willem Dafoe has revealed that he would love to be in the upcoming Joker 2, and he added that he would like to play an imposter version of the iconic DC Comics villain.
He revealed this rather interesting bit of information during an interview with GQ Magazine.
Here’s what he had to say about possibly starring in Todd Phillips’ Joker 2:
There is something interesting about, like, if there was a Joker imposter. So it would be possible to have not duelling Jokers, but someone that [claims] to be the Joker that isn’t the Joker.
He then went on to share an interesting idea for a possible story in Joker 2:
If you had Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker and then you had someone who was either imitating or riffing off what he did. I fantasised about that.

Fans have wanted to see Willem Dafoe play the Joker for years.
He was literally born to play the role and it seems like he’s open to the idea.
It would be really fascinating to see him play a version of the character in the same picture as Joaquin Phoenix.
I would love to see Phillips and Warner Bros Pictures pull this off in a second Joker film.
