Are Will Smith And Jada Pinkett Smith Getting Divorced?

Could Hollywood superstars Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith be going through or about to get divorced?

There have been a lot of people questioning what’s really going on in Will and Jada’s marriage.

They have both been very open about their marriage and relationship over the years.

It’s no secret that they have an ‘open marriage’, which means that they have a mutual agreement that they can have sexual relations with people outside their marriage.

Will Smith revealed this during an interview with GQ back in 2021.

In the rather surprisingly candid interview, Will confirmed that both he and Jada have, with mutual agreement, engaged in sexual relationships outside of their marriage.

Jada has also opened up about this during her podcast, Red Table Talk.

GQ’s Welsey Lowery noted in the article that those who listened to Jada talk on her podcast might have assumed that she was the only one engaging in other sexual relationships outside of her marriage with Will.

Smith continued that he really struggled with the idea of an open marriage at first.

He revealed that he has an intimacy coach who’s helped him process his thoughts about having a “harem of girlfriends”.

Some of those girlfriends have included the likes of Misty Copeland and Halle Berry.

Smith said:

I don’t know where I saw it or some shit as a teenager, but the idea of travelling with 20 women that I loved and took care of and all of that, it seemed like a really great idea. And then, after we played it out a little bit, I was like, ‘That would be horrific. That would be horrific.’

However, after the rather outrageous events at last night’s Oscars ceremony, people have started to wonder whether the cracks in Will and Jada’s marriage is starting to show.

This all comes after Chris Rock made a joke at last night’s Oscars ceremony at Will Smith’s wife’s (Jada Pinkett Smith) expense.

Chris Rock’s joke seemed to open up some cracks in the Smiths’ marriage

Chris Rock took to the stage to introduce the nominees for the best documentary award.

He then started to tell a few jokes.

Rock started off by joking that should Penelope Cruz not win her Oscar, then her husband – who was also nominated – Javier Bardem will be hoping that Will Smith would take the Oscar home.

This got the crowd laughing and Rock then set his sights on the Smiths.

Rock said: “Jada, I love ya! G.I. Jane 2, I can’t wait to see it.”

There were some laughs in the audience, and it seemed at first that Will Smith was laughing along with the others.

However, the King Richard actor (who then won the Best Actor award for his performance in the movie) then walked on the stage and slapped Chris Rock right in the face.

It was a shocking moment, but Smith wasn’t done there.

He then proceeded to shout at Rock:

Keep my wife’s name out of your fucking mouth. Yes. Keep my wife’s name out of your fucking mouth!

Chris Rock replied: “I’m going to.”

He then quipped:

That was the greatest night in the history of television.

The Academy has launched an investigation into Will Smith’s actions

The Academy has since opened up an investigation into Smith’s actions.

It’s also been revealed that Chris Rock will not be pressing charges against Will Smith.

It’s a very odd story, and it has to be said that it’s not looking very good for the Smiths.

Yes, Chris Rock’s joke was stupid, insensitive and not funny.

However, Smith’s reaction was over the top and it has to be noted that he was laughing to begin with.

It wasn’t until he spotted Jada’s look that he decided to go up to Rock and slap him.

Could there be a bigger issue at play here?

Are Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith having marital problems?

This wouldn’t be the first time that Will and Jada have been having issues.

They’ve both been very open about how their marriage can be difficult at times.

Was Will Smith defending Jada’s honour?

There’s the question of whether Will was actually defending Jada’s honour.

Chris Rock has persistently attacked the Smiths in his stand-up and he also made a joke at Jada’s expense at the 2016 Oscars ceremony that he hosted.

That could very well be what Will was doing.

However, it doesn’t condone what he did and it was a huge overreaction on Smith’s part.

That said, you do have to think about what you would do if you were in Will’s position.

Personally, I would have asked Rock to stop targeting my wife, and I would say it publically.

However, I would not resort to violence because it doesn’t solve anything.

I do wonder what Jada thought of Will’s actions and whether it might have been the final straw for her?

That could also be a possibility.
