Sweet Tooth has already proven to be a huge success on Netflix since it was released last week and fans of the show are already asking when Season 2 will be released.
So, Season 1 has been greeted very positively by Netflix users, and rightly so.
The first season is very special as far as I’m concerned and I get why people really want to see more of this show.
The show is about a boy who is born half human-half deer.
It’s actually set in a world where all children are born like this and the adults are all being killed off by a horrible virus.
So, what do these adults do? They desperately search for a cure and they blame the half-human half-animal children for the outbreak.
Sweet Tooth, who’s actually called Gus, lives the first nine years of his life in a picturesque little cabin in the woods with his father.
However, his father ends up becoming a victim of the virus and dies, leaving Gus to fend for himself.
Gus then finds a picture of his mother that his father left for him, and he goes to Colorado in search of her.
Sweet Tooth Season 2: Is It Happening?

The first season of Sweet Tooth has already proven to be incredibly popular on Netflix.
The series actually has overtaken Lucifer Season 5 Part 2 as the most popular TV show on Netflix right now.
So, if your question is will there be a second season of Sweet Tooth, the short answer is yes, there very much will be.
Now, if your question is when will the next season be released, that’s a much harder question to answer.
Netflix still hasn’t officially confirmed that a second season is in the works.
Yet, given how popular the show’s already proving the be, Sweet Tooth Season 2 is a foregone conclusion.

Now, what about answering the question of when will Sweet Tooth Season 2 be released?
That’s not an easy question to answer because of the pandemic.
It also depends on when the second season will go into production.
I’d imagine that they’d want to get started on Sweet Tooth Season 2 as soon as possible.
The fact that the show’s lead, Christian Convery, is only 11 years old is a huge factor in that.
Kids grow up very fast once they become teenagers, and they will want to ensure that they film as much as they can with Christian being as close to Gus’ age as possible.
However, they’ll still have to deal with the pandemic which is still ongoing.
That will probably cause a bit of a delay in Sweet Tooth Season 2’s release date.
But, if you were to push me for a release date, I would say June 2022 for Sweet Tooth Season 2.

So, what could happen in Sweet Tooth Season 2?
Well, given that this show is based on a Vertigo comic written and drawn by Canadian Jeff Lemire, well then those of you who’ve read the comic might know what’s in store for Gus.
However, what I will say is that they have deviated from the comics quite a bit.
They’ve lightened the tone of the story and also made it just a lot less dark in general.
So, they might use some of the story beats in the comics, but I don’t think they’re going to stick to it religiously.
