There’s a new series that’s just landed on Netflix called Fate: The Winx Saga which is doing very well with subscribers at the moment. But, the question now is, will Netflix release a Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2, and if so, when will the release date be?
This new show has been at the number one spot on Netflix’s Top 10 list ever since it was released. It really does seem as though people have been enjoying and tuning in to watch this new fantastical show.
The best way to explain what Fate: The Winx Saga is, think of it as Riverdale, but with fairies and witches, but just not as good as the first few seasons of The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina. I do love The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina.

However, that’s not to say that Fate: The Winx Saga is bad. I think there’s actually a lot of potential with this show, and we’re only on Season 1. I’m also pretty much certain that Netflix is going to greenlight Season 2 given how popular the show’s proven to be.
It’s something that we don’t see too much of today, and it’s sort of like the Harry Potter show that people can watch (as opposed to the Harry Potter show they’re making for HBO Max which people already seem to be very keen on boycotting).
But, for all of you who haven’t watched the show yet, here’s Fate: The Winx Saga’s plot synopsis:
Fate: The Winx Saga follows the coming-of-age journey of five fairies attending Alfea, a magical boarding school in the Otherworld where they must learn to master their powers while navigating love, rivalries, and the monsters that threaten their very existence. From creator Brian Young (The Vampire Diaries), Fate: The Winx Saga is a live-action reimagining of the Italian cartoon Winx Club from Iginio Straffi.

Yes, you read that bit of the plot synopsis correctly. This new show is based on an Italian cartoon called Winx Club, which is a bit like a barbie cartoon, but the barbies also happen to be witches and fairies. It’s an interesting IP to base a new live-action show on, and I have to say that you wouldn’t think that Fate: The Winx Saga is based on a cartoon when watching the series.
And, as for when Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2’s release date will be, well, I’m pretty certain that we’ll see it before the end of 2022. The fact that the show ended on a huge cliffhanger and was only six episodes long means that they’re more than likely to greenlight the second season. However, it might take a while to make given the current pandemic. That said, I’m also sure that Netflix will want Season 2 to come as soon as possible so that they can have sustained interest in the show.
