Behind Her Eyes Season 1 has really been getting people talking after it landed on Netflix, and naturally, people are starting to wonder when Season 2’s release date will be revealed.
Well, we’re here to answer that and many other questions people might have regarding Netflix’s biggest new hit.
So, the show was based on a book of the same name by Sarah Pinborough.
Sales for the book have been skyrocketing ever since the series landed on Netflix.
It’s not unlike what happened when You was released on Netflix, and there are clear similarities between both books and shows.
It seems as though people have really been transfixed by Behind Her Eyes, and they are now wondering whether Netflix will make a Behind Her Eyes Season 2.
Well, what I can tell you is that it’s not off the cards completely.
There are discussions being had behind closed doors at Netflix over the possibility of making a second season given how popular it’s proven to be on the streaming service.
Behind Her Eyes was meant to be a one-and-done show

What I can say is that Behind Her Eyes was originally intended to be a one-and-done show.
There was only going to be one season initially, yet Netflix didn’t really account for the show’s popularity.
They didn’t expect so many people to stream the show, and they didn’t expect the demand for a Season 2.
You can have a look at some of the tweets below of people pleading for a Season 2 of Behind Her Eyes.

That is just a very small section of the incredible number of tweets out there demanding for a Season 2.
The thing is, the author hasn’t written a sequel to her book, and it looks like she’s not intending to.
She also added that she didn’t know of any Season 2 being in the works at Netflix.
When asked if there would be another season of Behind Her Eyes, Pinborough told Express.co.uk, “Not as far as I know.”
She added, “I would be interested to see where they would take it as it’s a pretty closed ending… But if it does well, you never know.”
If they were to make a Season 2, there’s a whole load of avenues they could explore.
They could expand on David, Adele, Rob, and Louise’s stories.
For instance, they could do a flashback and fill in the holes in their backgrounds.
One of the things they could answer is who was David when he was young?

I have been asking around about whether Netflix was actively thinking about making a second season of what has ended up being one of their biggest hits.
Well, I’ve been told that they are having discussions about it internally, but it’s still very early days.
They are coming up with potential stories and trying to work out how it could all fit together.
I was even told that they do want to bring back Pinborough to help out with the story.
She’s been remaining slightly tight-lipped about that, but it looks like there’s just too much interest in Behind Her Eyes Season 2 for Netflix to just let it end the way it did.
And, as for when it could be released, well, at the moment it’s all still in very early development.
However, I’m pretty sure that Netflix would want it to come out in 2022 at the latest should they give it the greenlight.
