The Wakanda Forever trailer is here! Black Panther 2 is coming, and we’ve now had a new trailer for the upcoming Marvel movie that confirms that Shuri will be the new Black Panther in the MCU. You can check out the trailer for yourselves below which has a lot of awesome-looking action sequences in it, as well as many emotional moments.
The trailer starts off by making it very clear that this movie is going to deal with Chadwick Boseman’s passing. It seems as though his character, T’Challa, is going to die at the beginning of the movie. I actually think that we would have passed away before the beginning of this film and it will start with T’Challa’s funeral. That’s probably when the movie’s new threat is revealed, which seems to be Namor in this Marvel film.

Tenoch Huerta is playing Namor in the movie, and this trailer shows us a lot more of his character. It’s already been revealed that the character will be a mutant in the film. This is actually quite a bit deal because it shows that Marvel Studios is going to start opening their universe up to mutants. Up until recently, they weren’t allowed even to say “mutant” in their films. Now that Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, they can now use mutants in the MCU movies.
However, the bit of this trailer that really caught my eye was towards the end when it’s revealed that Letitia Wright’s Shuri will be the next character to don the Black Panther suit. This will be a very different version of the character. However, it is in keeping with some of the Marvel Black Panther comics, and I cannot wait to see how it all unfolds. The movie’s also going to introduce MCU audiences to Ironheart.
Shur is going to be a big deal in the MCU!

Ironheart is being played by Dominique Thorne in the movie, and this will be her big introduction to the MCU before we then see her again in her own Disney Plus series. The series will simply be called Ironheart, and I think MCU audiences will like this particular Marvel character. Yes, she shares many similarities with Iron Man, but Riri Williams (Ironheart’s real name) is different in a number of key ways from Tony Stark.
In the comics, she is a certified super-genius. She’s a student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Riri managed to get in thanks to a scholarship, and whilst she’s there, she ends up designing a suit of armour similar to the Iron Man Armor using material stolen from campus. However, when campus security knocks at her door, she ends up feeling whilst wearing the suit. She then goes on an adventure using the suit and prevents two inmates from escaping the New Mexico State Penitentiary.
When Stark hears of Riri’s accomplishment, he goes to meet her (a bit like what he did with Peter Parke in the MCU). During their meeting, Stark decides that he will endorse her decision to become a superhero (again, much like what he did with Peter Parker in the MCU).
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be released in cinemas in the US and in the UK on November 11th. I, however, live in France, and I’m still not sure whether the movie will be released in cinemas over here. I’m just going to have to wait and see what happens. I might have to go to the UK just to watch the movie on a big screen!
