It’s been revealed that Marvel Studios is working on a Vision series for Disney Plus, and this is something that I really want to see. Vision is a terrific character, and I think he deserves a bit more love in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This news comes to us via Jeff Sneider on The Hot Mic podcast.
This is actually something that surprised me quite a bit because I haven’t heard this before. There has been some speculation about the character coming back to the MCU in some capacity. This was made clear at the end of WandaVision. However, given how the series ended, we also know that this will be a different version of Vision from the one we knew and loved in the MCU movies and WandaVision series.

So, what does this mean? Well, this means that we could end up getting a series all about White Vision, which is the name that we’re going to go with for now. However, I think they might end up having to change that further down the line. Anyway, here’s what Sneider had to say about this new Vision series being in the works over at Marvel Studios:
I’m told that next week, Marvel will be opening a writers’ room for a Vision show titled Vision Quest.
This sounds like a really interesting idea. We know that White Vision is going to be going on quite a journey in the MCU. This version of Vision will have to grapple with what’s happened to him, and there might also be a way to bring the original Vision back. This show – should it end up being made – should star Paul Bettany back as the iconic Marvel superhero.
Could Paul Bettany star in this new series?

So, it looks like the writers are going to be getting together and coming up with a good story for a TV show about Vision. I really like the title Vision Quest. It works for the series and also works given what might be happening to Vision in the series. Interestingly enough, there was a storyline in the Marvel Comics called Vision Quest. Here’s the synopsis of that Marvel Comics storyline:
In this chapter of the West Coast Avengers, the Vision: receives a startling transformation after he is kidnapped, has his memory wiped, and discovers the true (and tragic) nature of his children with Scarlet Witch. Plus, the U.S.Agent joins the A-Team, and the Great Lakes Avengers make their spectacular debut! Don’t miss this story arc by legendary writer and artist John Byrne.
I feel we’re going to see a lot more interesting Disney Plus Marvel Studios shows like this one in the future. They’re going to be using the medium of television to push the boundaries of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We’re going to be seeing shows such as Echo, Daredevil: Born Again, Loki Season 2, Secret Invasion and then some animated shows such as What If? Season 2, Marvel Zombies and Spider-Man: Freshman Year to name but a few of the many shows they’ve already announced.
