Venom 2 is quickly becoming one of my most anticipated movies of the year, which is surprising considering I didn’t much care for the first film.
That said, there’s a lot about Venom 2 that I like the sound of. First off, I love the fact that the movie’s being directed by Andy Serkis, who’s also helping on on the script.
The script was written by Kelly Marcel who wrote the first Venom movie, but also Saving Mr. Banks and the first Fifty Shades of Grey.
Scoff if you must, but that first Fifty Shades Of Grey movie was a lot better than it had any right being. The other movies are dross.
I also like the film’s cast. Tom Hardy will be back as Eddie Brock/Venom. Michelle Williams will be back as Anne Weying. It’s been rumoured that Naomi Harris will be playing Shriek.
Then there’s also the likes of Woody Harrelson playing Cletus Kasady, a.k.a. Carnage, and he’ll be joined by Stephen Graham.
This cast is already incredible, and I really love the fact that they got Harrelson in to play Carnage.
There’s also been plot detail leaks courtesy of HN Entertainment, who claim Kasady will start out due to be executed for his many murders when he manages to break out with the help of fellow inmate Shriek.
Sounds like Venom 2 will be the Carnage show

The media outlet have reported that it’s unlikely Cletus has bonded with the Carnage symbiote during this breakout scene.
It’ll actually probably happen during this scene and they’ll start to change into their new characters after these scenes which look set to happen at the beginning of the film.
It was already hinted by a since-deleted post on Tom Hardy’s Instagram, that Venom 2 will explore Kasady’s dark past.
In the comics Cletus burned down the orphanage he lived in as a boy, killing 12 people in the process and it sounds like this will also happen in the movie.
HN Entertainment’s report claims that Eddie Brock investigated the orphanage’s destruction and linked those deaths to Kasady.
This incident will be what makes Cletus want to find the reporter and will be the basis of their rivalry.
There’s nothing in the report about what will happen in the rest of Venom 2, but that’s already quite a bit of information about the upcoming movie.
