So, Venom 2’s (Venom: Let There Be Carnage) director, Andy Serkis, has been talking about that post-credits scene, which has been getting fans talking.
He talked about it during a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

The big thing about this scene is that it brought Tom Hardy’s Venom into the MCU.
Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is seen on TV in Venom and Eddie Brock’s hotel room.
It seems as though they were pulled into this universe thanks to the Multiverse, which is interesting.

Here’s what Andy Serkis had to say about Venom 2’s post-credits scene:
100 per cent in flux, yeah. It couldn’t have been more in flux-y if you tried. It was something that they talked about from before I even came onto the movie. There were moments where [Spider-Man] was going to be in the story, potentially, and then he wasn’t. But no, we decided that we wanted to really examine the Venom-verse first. So as we were going through principal photography, the inevitable discussions had to be had, but it wasn’t until very, very late on that we reached the precise notion of the teaser that we wanted to lay in there.
