It’s being reported that the big bad villain, Ultron, could be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming Marvel movie, Armor Wars. This report comes to us via The Cosmic Circus and it’s something that’s been rumoured for quite some time now. We were told a while back that Ultron was set to return in WandaVision. Now, that didn’t happen. However, it seems as though Marvel Studios still has plans for the character in the upcoming Phases of the MCU.
Ultron was last seen in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, and he was voiced by James Spader. Honestly, even though the movie wasn’t the best film ever in the MCU, I actually thought that Ultron was a really interesting villain. He was created by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, and he ended up being an amalgamation of the worst parts of both characters, especially Stark.

Well, it’s now being reported that a version of Ultron could be returning to the MCU in Armor Wars. This is the upcoming MCU project that was going to be a TV show for Disney Plus, but it’s now being reported that it’s actually going to be a pretty big Marvel movie. The film is going to star Don Cheadle as War Machine.
Here’s what The Cosmic Wonder had to say about the upcoming Marvel movie and Ultron’s reported involvement in the film:
According to one of our sources, the Ultron A.I. was not destroyed in the wake of Avengers: Age of Ultron, and remnants of the Ultron A.I. are still active but “dormant.”

So, it does seem as though Armor Wars is going to pave the way for Ultron’s big return to the MCU, which I think would be brilliant. That said, Ultron has already returned in a Marvel project since we saw him in Avengers: Age Of Ultron. He played a big part in the animated Marvel series, What If…? and that series proved that he’s one of the most dangerous Marvel villains ever.
