Jared Leto has revealed in a recent interview that Tron 3 is actually rather close to becoming a reality over at Disney, which is brilliant news!
There have been rumours of a Tron 3 for quite some time.
Those rumours have become louder and louder over the years, and they pretty much became deafening when it was revealed that Jared Leto was attached to the project.
The last Tron movie we saw was Tron: Legacy, which was released way back in 2010.
Leto then did an interview with ScreenRant in which he revealed that Tron 3 was still on the table.
Here’s what the actor had to say on the matter:
I’m a super fan of TRON, and we are working hard on TRON with our incredible partners at Disney. Just an amazing group of creative people. We’re getting closer. We’re getting closer and closer, and who knows? Something may be [coming] sooner than later.
Could Tron 3 actually happen? Jared Leto seems to think so!

This thrid Tron movie seems to be moving incredibly slowing.
It was revealed quite some time ago that a third movie was in development.
It was then announced a couple of years later that Garth Davis (Lion) would be directing it.
We then heard that Jared Leto was attached to star in the movie.
However, since then, things have gone very quite on the project.
Fingers crossed the movie does end up seeing the light of day.
