Trinity DC Comics Movie In The Works With Gal Gadot

A Trinity DC Comics movie might be in the works, at least, according to a new report. This report comes to us from Mikey Sutton over at Geekosity. It seems as though the DC Universe is heading towards a Trinity movie given what we’ve recently learnt about what will happen in Black Adam. It does seem as though that movie is going to be setting up the Justice Society Of America as well as teasing the return of some Justice League members.

Here’s what Mikey had to say about this potential upcoming Trinity movie that he has been told is currently in the works over at Warner Bros Discovery:

Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman form the Trinity. According to sources, Warner Bros. Discovery wants an epic adventure that unites Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Ben Affleck’s Batman, and Henry Cavill’s Superman. To WBD CEO David Zaslav, these icons form the heart of the DCEU.

So, the main question I had was, does this mean that a Justice League 2 is in the works, or could this be something else? I have a feeling that Warner Bros Discovery’s new leadership might want to stay away from the title Justice League 2. The Justice League movie title is a bit tainted now, and I feel as though fans would only want a Justice League sequel that was helmed by Zack Snyder.

I have a feeling that this new movie that’s reportedly in the work would be more of a Wonder Woman-lead vehicle with Cavill’s Superman and Affleck’s Batman turning up towards the end. This means that another director might be involved in this project. We have heard that Patty Jenkins has finished her script for Wonder Woman 3. I’m wondering whether this movie might end up turning into a sort of Trinity movie, which would make sense.

We’ve also heard reports that the upcoming Black Adam movie is going to end with a pretty big post-credits scene that I’m sure most DCEU fans have already heard about. However, just in case you haven’t heard what happens in the movie’s post-credits scene yet, I’m going to warn you that spoilers for Black Adam are coming.

OK, now that’s out of the way, it’s been revealed that Black Adam’s post-credits scene will see Henry Cavill’s Superman return. It was then revealed by Dwayne Johnson that they are planning a Black Adam Vs Superman movie. This is all brilliant news if you ask me. It’s also been reported (via Geekosity) that a Man Of Steel sequel is in the works. Mikey Sutton then revealed that the movie’s current title is Superman. Honestly, it’s a very good time to be a DC Universe and DCEU fan! It looks like everything is coming together. Cavill, Affleck, Gadot, Johnson, Brosnan, Hodge… These are all huge names to have in your shared cinematic universe.

We still don’t know what’s happening with Ezra Miller and The Flash. It seems as though that movie is moving ahead and that Warners is sticking with Miller as Barry Allen for the time being.
