It seems that not all that glitters is gold, or in this case, not all that transforms is a box office hit. The highly anticipated film Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts is reportedly a jumbled mess, with insiders claiming that the production is struggling to find its footing in the editing room.

As the Autobots and Decepticons continue their battle for supremacy, it appears that the war behind the scenes is proving to be just as chaotic.

In a recent episode of The Hot Mic Podcast, hosts Jeff Sneider and John Rocha revealed that the latest instalment of the Transformers franchise is facing significant challenges in post-production. According to Sneider, the film has gone through nearly a dozen editing teams, each attempting to assemble a coherent cut from the mechanical wreckage.

“They’re getting a little worried about Transformers (…) They said that Transformers has gone through close to a dozen different editing teams that have already got different cuts of the film,” stated Sneider.

His co-host Rocha chimed in, adding that he had heard similar whispers from his own sources: “I’ve got to be honest, a few weeks ago, a friend who’s a source of mine who has connections with that studio and people involved in that situation, told me the same thing. He had heard that the movie is a mess, and they’re trying to fix it.”

This revelation has left fans of the franchise scratching their heads and wondering whether Optimus Prime and his motley crew will manage to pull themselves together in time for the film’s release. You can watch the full discussion on The Hot Mic Podcast here.

Despite these reported struggles, Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts is still set to hit cinemas in the United States on 9th June 2023. This date, however, could change if the film’s post-production process continues to be a tangled web of edits, revisions, and last-minute changes.

It is worth noting that the Transformers series is no stranger to controversy and mixed reviews. The franchise has weathered numerous storms, with some critics savaging past films for their bombastic action and thin plots. Nonetheless, the series has managed to rake in billions of dollars at the box office, proving that there’s still an appetite for the ongoing battle between Autobots and Decepticons.

With this latest instalment reportedly in disarray, one can only hope that the powers that be are able to transform this jumbled mess into a coherent, entertaining film. After all, it wouldn’t be the first time a Transformers movie has managed to surprise and delight audiences, despite the odds being stacked against it.

In the meantime, fans can only speculate on what the final product will look like, and whether or not the mighty Optimus Prime will emerge victorious from this latest behind-the-scenes battle. Will the editing teams manage to piece together a film that can stand tall alongside its predecessors, or will this be the straw that breaks the Cybertronian camel’s back?

Only time will tell if Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts can rise from the ashes of its current post-production woes and claim its place in the pantheon of blockbuster hits. As they say, “one shall stand, one shall fall” – let’s hope that this latest entry in the long-running series can stand tall and deliver the goods.

Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts is going to be released in cinemas in the United States on June 9th, 2023.
