Top Gun 2 Is Paramount’s Top-Grossing Movie Ever In The US

Top-Gun-2-Has-The-Biggest-Opening-Of-Tom-Cruise’s-Career

It’s been revealed that Top Gun: Maverick (Top Gun 2) has become Paramount Pictures’ top-grossing movie of all time in the United States.

This was revealed by Box Office Mojo.

Here’s what they had to say about Top Gun 2’s box office takings:

#TopGunMovie passes $601.91M Domestic, passing the original release 1997-98 cume for #TitanicMovie, becoming Paramount’s #1 domestic-grossing film of all time.

So, this means that Top Gun: Maverick is now Paramount’s top-grossing movie in the United States, which is pretty incredible considering we’ve just come out of a pandemic.

People really seemed to be ready for Tom Cruise’s Top Gun sequel.

The movie was delayed for over a year by Paramount Pictures, who obviously knew the movie would perform very well once cinemas country-wide were reopened.

Top Gun: Maverick is currently sitting at $1.2 billion worldwide which is a bonkers amount of money for this movie.

The movie has ended up becoming Tom Cruise’s highest-grossing movie of all time.

It’s been a huge success for Cruise and for Paramount Pictures.

It seems as though people have been going to watch the movie at the cinema again and again, and again!

We haven’t really seen anything like this since Spider-Man: No Way Home was released.

I’m thrilled to see that the movie’s done so well at the box office, but also with critics.

The movie really pleased the critics, and I was one of them to be very impressed by the Top Gun sequel.
