It’s been revealed that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will be starring in the upcoming Avengers: The Kang Dynasty movie, which I think is brilliant news. This report comes to us via Mikey Sutton over at Geekosity, and I cannot wait to see what unfolds in this MCU movie.
According to Sutton, Holland is “all in” on Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, which means that we will be getting to see the actor back in the iconic Marvel Comics role in the Avengers film. Marvel Studios boss, Kevin Feige, revealed at San Diego Comic-Con that there are going to be two Avengers movies released in 2025. The Kang Dynasty is going to be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, and it will reportedly star the likes of Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang, Jonathan Majors as Kang, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop and now Tom Holland as Spider-Man.

It seems as though this movie is going to be quite a big deal. It’ll be the first of two Avengers movies to be released in the same year. It was revealed by Feige that the movie is slated to be released in cinemas in the United States in May 2025. Avengers: Secret Wars will follow a few months later. It does seem as though 2025 is going to be a very big year for the MCU.
We still have no official news on who will get to direct Secret Wars, but I have an inkling that Marvel will try to get Ryan Coogler to helm the project. Now, I haven’t been told anything specific about that. However, I just have a feeling that Marvel Studios might want a very safe pair of hands for the movie, and I would argue that they don’t come any safer than Coogler.

We’ll have to wait and see what Marvel Studios end up doing with that particular movie. I expect that they might make an announcement after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s worldwide release.
