It’s being reported that Tom Hiddleston is going to be turning up in the upcoming Deadpool 3 movie, which will be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). So, does this mean that Hiddleston will be playing Loki in the movie? Well, not necessarily. Let me explain why.
Before we get into all of that, I wanted to go over where this story comes from. This report is based on an exclusive report from Giant Freakin Robot. They have posted a lot of scoops over the past few months that have turned out to be true, so I’m more inclined to believe that they might have some genuinely good and solid sources when it comes to their Marvel scoops.

So, according to GFR, Hiddleston will be playing Loki in the upcoming Deadpool film. However, I wonder whether he might turn up as himself in the movie, which would be hilarious. We already know that the Deadpool films constantly break the fourth wall, and after having watched the trailer for the upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special, we know that Marvel is no longer worried about bringing in real-life actors as themselves.
The special’s trailer revealed that Kevin Bacon will be in the TV special as himself, which is hilarious, and I would love it if the third Deadpool movie does something similar with someone like Tom Hiddleston. We already know that Hugh Jackman will be in the movie as his version of Wolverine. I wonder whether they might want to bring in another big star to poke a bit of fun at the MCU, and I think Hiddleston would be the perfect star for that job.

So, it seems as though this upcoming Deadpool film will star Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and potentially Tom Hiddleston. However, even though I would love to see the British actor play himself n the movie, it seems as though he might be turning up as Loki. We’ve already seen that his version of Loki is aware of the Multiverse and has been doing some ‘earth-hopping’ in the Disney Plus series.
He could very easily end up in Deadpool’s universe and be the one who pulls him into the MCU. That might be pretty fun. Thanks to Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, we also know that the MCU takes place on Earth-616. I can’t wait to find out which ‘earth’ Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool occupies and how he will be brought into the mainstream Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s also going to be interesting to see how Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine fits into all of this. We’re going to have to wait and see.
