Lucifer Season 5 is the next and final season of the show which is going to be released on Netflix later on this year, and there are now rumours that its star, Tom Ellis, could become the next James Bond.
It’s pretty well known that No Time To Die is going to be Daniel Craig’s last Bond movie, so the producers will be looking pretty hard for the next actor to play the role.
The usual names keep on cropping up in this race, and it’s been revealed by Bond’s producers that the next actor could be non-white, but will definitely be a man.
The likes of Tom Hardy, Tom Hiddleston, Benedict Cumberbatch, James Norton, Idris Elba and Richard Madden are often thrown out there.
My personal choice would have always been Michael Fassbender, but that’s not looking very likely any more.
Anyway, another name’s recently been thrown into the ring, and this name might come as a bit of a shock to you.
Lucifer’s Tom Ellis has now been revealed to be in the running to be the next James Bond, as far as the betting odds are concerned.

This might be down to the fact that a major fan campaign has created a trailer by video editor Kristin Harris and there’s also a petition on Change.org which has got almost 5,000 signatures.
Since then, the odds on Ellis becoming the next Bond have been slashed by two thirds, which is pretty impressive.
A spokesman for Coral told Express Online: “Tom Ellis has had his odds significantly cut over the last 24 hours to be the next James Bond following strong support in our betting.
“We know the next 007 is going to be male and if the momentum behind Ellis continues to pick up pace, he may well end up as a strong candidate to replace Daniel Craig.”

The fan petition on Change.org reads: “Tom Ellis while playing Lucifer does pretty much everything Bond already does; fast cars, love of women, secret missions etc.
“I honestly can’t think of a more British, charming, good looking, Bondesque actor to play him. People have suggested Idris Elba but even he thinks that is a crazy suggestion and doesn’t want to do it.
“Tom is clearly the best person for the role.”
