Tom Cruise has been recorded shouting at members of his crew of Mission: Impossible 7 for seemingly not obeying the protocols put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The recording was released by The Sun, and after listening to Cruise’s outburst on set, I’m on the actor’s side.
Cruise reportedly saw two crew members standing too close to one another in front of a computer screen, he told the crew: “If I see you do it again you’re fucking gone.” Cruise can then be heard saying: “We are the gold standard. They’re back there in Hollywood making movies right now because of us. Because they believe in us and what we’re doing. I’m on the phone with every fucking studio at night, insurance companies, producers and they’re looking at us and using us to make their movies. We are creating thousands of jobs, you motherfuckers. I don’t ever want to see it again. Ever!”
Cruise has been very strict about enforcing the COVID-19 protocols on the set of his Mission: Impossible movie – of which he is a producer – as they’ve been filming in the UK. He went on to continue scolding the crew members for putting the safety of the other people on set and potentially jeopardising the entire production.
Tom Cruise’s outburst on the set of Mission: Impossible 7 was completely justified

“You can tell it to the people who are losing their fucking homes because our industry is shut down. It’s not going to put food on their table or pay for their college education. That’s what I sleep with every night – the future of this fucking industry!” Cruise said. “So I’m sorry, I am beyond your apologies. I have told you, and now I want it, and if you don’t do it, you’re out. We are not shutting this fucking movie down! Is it understood? If I see it again, you’re fucking gone.”
Cruise then warned that the members of the crew could get fired if he saw them doing whatever it was they were doing again. He even told one crew member that he was “going to cost him his job.”
“Am I clear? Do you understand what I want? Do you understand the responsibility that I have? Because I will deal with your reason, and if you can’t be reasonable and I can’t deal with your logic, you’re fired,” Cruise continued. “That’s it. That is it. I trust you guys to be here.”
Mission: Impossible 7 was hit with delays back in October when 12 members of the crew tested positive for COVID-19 while they were filming in Italy. The ended up getting production back underway in the UK three weeks ago . Mission: Impossible 7 is being directed by Christopher McQuarrie and will hopefully hit cinemas on November 19th, 2021.
