It’s been revealed that Tim Burton’s The Addams Family TV series is coming to Netflix after they win the bidding war for the show. This news comes to us from What’s On Netflix.
It’s also been revealed that Tim Burton’s The Addams Family TV series is going to be called Wednesday and will consist of eight-hour-long episodes. Even though Netflix won the bidding war for the show, MGM TV will still be the production studio behind the series. However, Netflix will carry the global distribution rights.
The series will follow Wednesday Addams and it’s being rumoured that Netflix is looking for a Latina or Hispanic actress aged between 18 and 20 years of age for the lead role. It’s also being rumoured that both Gomez and Morticia Addams will be involved in the series.

What’s On Netflix has also revealed what the show will be about. They managed to get some early information on the Tim Burton series and here they are:
“Wednesday Addams misadventures as a student at Nevermore Academy: a very unique boarding school snuggled in deepest New England.”
They also revealed that the first season of the show will follow Wednesday Addams who’ll be at boarding school in the show. Whilst there, she’ll be learning to master her growing set of abilities all the while solving a murder mystery, going up against a new growing evil threat, and battling with her various new relationships around the school of Nevermore.
