The Netflix docuseries Tiger King is taking the world by storm, yet, Louis Theroux did a documentary on him first and says he doesn’t think Carol Baskin didn’t kill her husband.
He revealed this via his Instagram account whilst replying to a fan’s question on the subject.
Theroux made a documentary on the Tiger King back in 2011 when he made America’s Most Dangerous Pets for the BBC.
His documentary wasn’t just on Joe Exotic. He also met with a lot of other dangerous pet owners and zookeepers.
However, it did cover Carol Baskin and he revealed that he doesn’t think she killed her husband.
“My opinion is, it seems very unlikely,” Theroux revealed on Instagram.
The documentary filmmaker also confirmed this wasn’t the first time he’d heard of Exotic’s theory on what happened to Baskin’s husband.
Louis Theroux doesn’t agree with the Tiger King. He doesn’t think Carol Baskin killed her husband.

Theroux said that Exotic “told [him] the same thing in 2011.”
He then went on to share some details from his meeting with Joe Exotic.
The zookeeper is currently in prison for having conspired to murder Carol Baskin.
However, Theroux revealed that: “The most troubling thing he said was probably that if the park went bankrupt he would kill all the animals.”
