The Umbrella Academy Season 3 Is In The Works Confirms Director

The Umbrella Academy Season 2 is streaming on Netflix right now, yet we have it on good authority that Season 3 is already in the works.

So, we’ve all been enjoying The Umbrella Academy Season 2 (I hope).

Many of us might have finished the season already.

You should be now eagerly awaiting the next instalment of the hit Netflix TV show.

Well, thankfully, it seems as though Netflix has already put everything in motion for Season 3.

This was revealed to us during a recent interview with one of the show’s directors, Jeremy Webb.

Webb directed a few episodes in Seasons 1 and 2, including Season 2’s exceptional finale.

During our chat with him – which you can listen to on our podcast, Small Screen Stories – Webb informed us that things were already being put in place for Season 3.

Here’s what Jeremy told us about The Umbrella Academy Season 3:

We’re hoping that we’re going to get a third season of The Umbrella Academy, which is highly likely I think. And, obviously some scripts have been written and I’m very much hooked into being involved in that again and interesting in doing that.

Jeremy then added:

So, the conversations that I’ve had are, ‘I this happens and we figure this out…’ I mean, there’s a lot of ‘If, if if’, but we’re hoping that to the subject to it being renewed getting into that in the fall, the autumn time.”

So, there you have it. Netflix is getting things moving on The Umbrella Academy Season 3, and we should get an official announcement very soon.

Jeremy then went on to talk about The Umbrella Academy Season 2.

That was when he revealed that he believes it’ll be even better than the first season.

I think because the first season was very successful, I think. And, I think season two’s even better.

As far as I’m concerned, Jeremy was bang on the money.

The Umbrella Academy Season 2 was so much better than Season 1.

The then added:

 There’s a strong chance, they start to put things in place quite early on so we can get ahead of the game. So I think there’s a certain amount of investment into getting ready for a third season on any show, especially with a giant like Netflix.

Jeremy then addressed the Coronavirus pandemic.

Obviously, the pandemic throws up a whole bunch on stuff that needs to be resolved, but they’re (Netflix) still huge supporters of the show, and things need to continue.
