Fans are desperate to know when The Umbrella Academy Season 2 is going to be released on Netflix, and I’m dying to know as well.
It feels like ages ago when we got to watch the very first season of the new show which is based on a series of comic books of the same name created by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá.
The first season on The Umbrella Academy was a pretty big hit and the show has a lot of fans the world over, and they all want to know when Season 2 will be released on Netflix.
We might have had a little tease of that date from Netflix themselves after the posted a picture of some members of The Umbrella Academy Season 2’s cast.
The image of the actors was accompanied by a caption that read: “just some good eggs taking a family selfie. Umbrella Academy s2 is coming soon.”
Sounds like The Umbrella Academy Season 2 could be coming out soon!

The caption was rounded off with a little purple umbrella emoji, but when does this mean that Netflix will release Season 2?
One way we cn figure out Season 2’s release date is by having a look at how long the first season took to shoot and how long post-production was, and do some simple maths.
So, the first season took about a year in total, from the very beginning of production to the moment it was released on the streaming service’s platform.
We know that principal photography of The Umbrella Academy season 2 began in June 2019, so it might be a safe bet to assume that the show will turn up on Netflix in June 2020.
However, the Instagram post suggests otherwise. The caption suggests that it’ll be made available sooner than that.
I believe that The Umbrella Academy season 2 will be made available on Netflix sometime around March or April.

It could even end up on the streaming service in February, which is when they released the first season.
Netflix will want to ensure they have something big coming out close to the beginning of 2020, and it doesn’t come much bigger than The Umbrella Academy.
However, these things take time, and it would be good for Netflix to ensure that the second season is as good as it possibly can be, so they might take a bit longer to get things just right.
