So, James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad film is currently being shot, and hopefully, Gunn’s doing what Gunn does best.
But he’s also doing something else he’s been very good at in the past: answering fans’ questions on social media.
The director has been back on Instagram this week answering people’s questions about his upcoming DC Comics movie: The Suicide Squad.
A fan on Instagram asked Gunn if Capaldi was going to have a “cameo” or a “big role” in The Suicide Squad, which is a pretty good question because the movie has a star-studded cast and it would be interesting to find out what the former Doctor Who actor will be up to in the movie.
Gunn actually gave a response to this question, saying that “He has a big role.”
Gunn didn’t go into specifics about Capaldi’s role in the movie, but this in itself is a big tease for what’s to come.

It means that his character will play an important part in the movie, which we didn’t know prior to Gunn revealing this information.
He also didn’t reveal who Capaldi will be playing in the movie, which means that the speculation will continue regarding his The Suicide Squad character.
He’s certainly an interesting, and potentially slightly left-field bit of casting, yet Capaldi has been impressive in everything he’s been in.
Just watch The Tick of It to see Capaldi at his very best. There are also a few Doctor Who episodes in which he was very impressive.

The Tick of It? That’s the one where he plays the abusive political aide with the big blue feelers?
Ah yes, the Tick of It is a wonderful satire of both the comic book and political genres.
