A new trailer for Netflix’s upcoming Marvel series, The Punisher, has landed and it reveals that the series will drop onto the streaming service on November 17th, 2017.
The Punisher is easily the most eagerly anticipated one of Netflix’s Marvel TV show of this year. Sorry Defenders, people, myself included, were more looking forward to seeing the return of Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle in his very own TV series. He stole the show in Daredevil season 2. The first season of The Punisher’s series will see his army roots come back to haunt him as he becomes involved in a terrible government conspiracy which he has to set straight. Check out The Punisher’s new trailer below.
Jon Bernthal’s Punisher had a raw fury on-screen that was utterly captivating. It’s something that none of the other Marvel TV heroes really have. Only Daredevil comes close and pitting the two of them up against one another was one of the reasons why Daredevil Season 2 was so intriguing and arguably the very best of Netflix’s Marvel TV shows. They represent complete opposite sides of heroism; Daredevil on the more traditional side and The Punisher occupying the more violent and controversial corner.
Not only does The Punisher’s new trailer showcase the show’s incredible action, but it also reveals the date when all episodes will be made available on Netflix: November 17th, which so happens to be the same day that Justice League comes to cinemas. Hmmm, I wonder whether that’s a coincidence or not? Go watch the new Justice League movie in the cinema or stay at home and binge watch The Punisher…? I know which one I’ll be doing. How about you? Are you team #Punisher or team #JusticeLeague? Let us know in the comments below.
