The Old Guard 2 Will Happen When ‘The Time Is Right’ Says Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron has revealed that The Old Guard 2 will happen when the time is right, so we might have to wait a few years for the sequel.

There’s been a lot of talk of late about a The Old Guard sequel.

The movie’s done pretty well on Netflix and it certainly has its fans.

It hasn’t done as well as the likes of Extraction, however, it seems to have done well enough to get a sequel greenlit.

That said, Netflix hasn’t officially announced The Old Guard 2.

The movie definitely ends with a tease for a sequel and Charlize Theron has now opened up about the possibility of The Old Guard 2 happening.

In an interview with Variety, Theron revealed that they will make the sequel when the time is right:

We’re still pushing this one out. Let’s have a little resting period, but just given the fact that all of us really want to do it, I’m sure when it’s the right time, we’ll start the conversation.

Honestly, this is a bit of a wishy-washy answer to whether The Old Guard 2 will happen or not.

I’m sure everyone involved in the project would love to make a second film.

However, I’m not sure if it’s really something they need to do.
