It’s being reported that Universal Studios might be doing another remake of The Mummy with Ryan Gosling as the film’s lead.
Universal has already tried to remake The Mummy once, and it didn’t go too well.
The movie starred Tom Cruise and bombed at the box office.
However, Universal Studios is now working with Blumhouse Productions to make a new bunch of horror movies.
These new horror movies are based on the classic Universal films.
The first one of these new horror movies is about to come out, The Invisible Man.
It’s performed very well with critics and is predicted to make quite a bit of money.
According to We Got This Covered’s sources, Universal is now thinking of doing something similar with The Mummy.

They’ve also added that Universal has tapped Ryan Gosling to play the lead in this new remake of The Mummy.
In all honesty, I’m not sure if this one is ever going to get off the ground.
Granted, Blumhouse and Universal might be thinking of doing more of these horror movie collaborations.
However, it looks like they’ll be working with smaller horror properties and ones which aren’t too steeped in movie history.
