It was rumoured a few weeks ago Rosario Dawson had been cast a Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian Season 2, but since then we’ve heard very little about it.
However, the actress recently did an interview with Variety in which she seemed to hint that she was going to be in the second season of the Star Wars show.
The first season of The Mandalorian proved to be a huge hit on Disney Plus with Star Wars fans.
They, myself included, were very excited when it was revealed that Season 2 had already been put into production and would be coming out in October.
However, the recent Coronavirus pandemic might have delayed Season 2 a bit.
That said, it should be with us pretty soon and it looks like the upcoming season will feature Ahsoka Tano in the flesh, potentially played by Rosario Dawson.
During her interview with Variety, the former Daredevil star was asked point blank whether she had been cast in the role or not.
“That’s not confirmed yet but when that happens, I will be very happy,” she stated.
She then added: “I’m very excited for that to be confirmed at some point.”

Fans have wanted to see Dawson play the role in live-action for as long as I can remember.
Ever since the character burst onto the scene in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated TV series, people have been fan casting her as Tano.
I have to admit, she’s a perfect fit for the role, and I think the character would be a great addition to The Mandalorian Season 2.
If Dawson is cast as Tano, she’ll join Pedro Pascal as Mando and Baby Yoda.
I’m not sure who plays the cute green guy – or gal.
The rumour that she had been cast as Ahsoka Tano came from SlashFilm.
They reported that they were told this information from two independent sources.

However, since then, it’s gone a bit quiet regarding her casting.
Thankfully, she was asked about it during her interview with Variety.
Fingers crossed it is all true, because people will be distraught if it ends up being a false rumour.
