The Mandalorian Season 4 Scripts Have Been Written

Jon Favreau has literally just revealed that The Mandalorian Season 4 has already been written, which is pretty huge news. We already knew that the fourth season of the show was in development.

However, it’s very good to hear that they’ve finished off the fourth season’s scripts, and it’s going to be very exciting to see how it all unfolds moving forward. Favreau and Dave Filoni have been tied at the hip on these new Star Wars shows.

They created The Mandalorian together, and they then worked on The Book Of Boba Fett. They are currently making the first season of Ahsoka as well as a new Star Wars show called Skeleton Crew. They’re basically creating the Star Wars cinematic universe, just that they are shows and are all being released on Disney Plus.

So, during an interview with BFMTV INSIDE – a French media outlet – Favreau was asked about the fourth season, and that was when he revealed that they have finished the scripts for the show’s fourth season. Here’s what Favreau had to say on the matter:

Season 4? Yea, I’ve written it already. We have to know where we are going to tell a fully formed story. So, we had mapped it out, Dave [Filoni] and I. And then slowly you just write each episode. So I was writing it during post-production, because all of it has to feel like a continuation and one full story.

Favreau then went on to add that they now have a “fully formed story” and that they now have to know exactly where they are going with these shows. This is after they started work on shows such as Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew. Here’s what Favreau had to say on the matter:

And then he’s doing ‘Ahsoka’, which I’m production with him, but he’s the writer and showrunner on that. And so, to understand what’s happening on other shows or even ‘Skeleton Crew’, they all take place in the same Star Wars time period. So, there’s alot more things that we have to keep in mind and stuff that we’ve built up to from previous seasons of ‘The Mandalorian’ as well.

We are currently all very excited to finally get to watch The Mandalorian’s third season, which is about to be released on Disney Plus. Audiences and Star Wars fans have had to wait a very long time between seasons 2 and 3. It’s been a two-year wait, which is far too long!

Thankfully, it seems as though there will be a much shorter gap between seasons three and four, which is very good news! Given that they’ve already written the fourth season’s scripts, they should start shooting it pretty soon.

It looks like Jon Favreau and the rest of the team are ready to get moving on the fourth season, so it seems as though it could be released in late 2024, which isn’t too long to wait.

Pedro Pascal seems to be very much invested in the show and has even teased all sorts of spinoff ideas, so I don’t think fans should worry about future seasons of The Mandalorian not happening. It’s the biggest Star Wars show and one of Disney Plus’ main pulls, and keeps on bringing subscribers to their streaming platform.

The Mandalorian Season 3 is set to debut on Disney Plus on March 1st.
