Disney Plus and Lucasfilm have released The Mandalorian Season 3 trailer and it teases Grogu’s elevated Force powers. Screen Rant lists insights as to the upcoming season’s story.
After two years of waiting for the follow-up season, the trailer definitely does not disappoint. If anything, it has amped up the anticipation, if that was even possible.
We realize so much meat is going to be in the upcoming season as they tread a broader story for Din Djarin and Grogu. Right off the top of the list, there is the contention as to who will be the new leader of the Mandalorians.
With Mando wielding the Darksaber, Bo Katan-Kryze has to win it back in combat. Does this mean they will fight in the first episodes of the season?
There is also the matter of what exactly the remaining might of the Empire plan for Grogu. As previous episodes show that they need Grogu, specifically his blood, for their new generation of clones… yes, they are still at it.
It becomes more sinister as the show reveals the lengths they are willing to go to. The possibility of yet another incarnation of a particular Sith Lord or Master of the Dark Side still looms.

But what is happening in the present has, of course, a significant link to the past. A particular scene puts fans in a frenzy online as it shows the moments when Order 66 is in its execution.
The blazing stream at the access door clearly indicates a lightsaber is steadily getting it to open.
Many are now speculating that Anakin Skywalker, in his early days of being Darth Vader, will appear in flashbacks. Most likely as a memory of the youngling Grogu at the Jedi Temple. And we all know who Anakin is.
Because of this, there is also the expectation that The Mandalorian Season 3 will answer the question of how Grogu escaped those moments. Who saved him? And how did he end up being where Din Djarin found him in Season 1?
Certainly, it goes to show that Din Djarin has his foundling in Grogu. The Child made that choice in The Book of Boba Fett when Master Luke presented him with the beskar chainmail and Master Yoda’s lightsaber. Master Luke told him he could take only one.
Nevertheless, Grogu takes with him what lessons he has learned from Master Luke.
On the other hand, Luke Skywalker also stated that there is nothing he can teach the Child that he doesn’t already know. The time they had together proved that Grogu was just remembering what he had learned before.
Evidently, Grogu demonstrated his advanced powers in a few seconds of the trailer. But still, Din will protect his powerful foundling at all costs. Even at the cost of his own life. And to get a better chance at that is regaining his Mandalorian honour.
As what is now his personal mission, Din Djarin means to go back to Mandalore and re-establish himself in the Creed.
In The Book of Boba Fett, the Armorer told him that the only way to redeem himself is to bathe in the sacred living pools in Mandalore’s beskar mines.
That is the way.

Audiences will see the current state of the planet or, more accurately, what is left of it. It could also be the place where he will fight Bo Katan-Kryze for the Darksaber and finally determine who will lead the new generation of Mandalorians.
For sure, a lot of fans are looking forward to seeing Mando and his kid again. In one of the comments on the uploaded trailer on YouTube, a fan said they surely expect 50 more seasons of the series. Another said to keep the episodes and series coming.
There is also the expectation of focusing on Din’s dive into his own roots. Perhaps they could feature a storyline in which he would unite the clans and bring back Mandalore’s formidable presence in the galaxy.
Showrunner Jon Favreau surely has so much to tell in the world he has expanded for the legendary franchise. Starring Pedro Pascal, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito and many more, Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian Season 3 comes to Disney Plus this March 1st.
