It’s been revealed that Lucasfilm has already begun production on The Mandalorian Season 3 and it should be coming to Disney Plus in 2021.
This news was revealed by Variety who claim that The Mandalorian’s showrunner Jon Favreau is said to have been “writing season 3 for a while.”
They also claim that The Mandalorian’s art department, led by Doug Chiang, has been busy at work on concept art for season 3 “for the past few weeks.”
“We’ve just started pre-production and are looking into further adventures for The Mandalorian in Season 3,” another source told Variety.

Filming for The Mandalorian Season 2 finished back in March just before this whole Coronavirus pandemic situation really kicked off.

Thankfully, that work can be done from home to a certain extent.
It still look like The Mandalorian Season 2 will be able to hit its release window which is October of this year.
It sounds like a crazy turnaround.
Hopefully it’ll still be very good and we’ll all love watching the next season of the Star Wars show.
