The Mandalorian Season 2 is gearing up to be one of 2020’s biggest TV releases and people want to know when its release date might be.
The very first season of The Mandalorian only ended back in January (weren’t they easier times).
However, people are already gearing up for The Mandalorian Season 2, and it looks like Disney and Lucasfilm are already pretty far along with it.
The Mandalorian is the first-ever live-action Star Wars TV show and was also Disney Plus’ first big series.
New episodes were released weekly (much to my disappointment) and the first season was only eight episodes long.
Personally, I would have liked to have seen more, but we can’t get everything.
We should be happy we got this show at all, and that it ended up being even half as good as it was.

The first season of the show was developed by Jon Favreau who was joined by executive producers Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson.
It looks like many of the same people will be involved in Season 2 of the show.
Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have written many of the episodes themselves – as the did in the first season – and they’ll also be directing some of Season 2’s episodes.
The first season of the show saw a mixture of well-known and up-and-coming directors work on the show.
We had the likes of Taika Waititi direct two episodes, and then Rick Famuyiwa, Deborah Chow and Bryce Dallas Howard helm a few.
It looks like Season 2 might do the same sort of thing again by hiring really interesting filmmakers to helm their episodes.

As for when will Season 2 of The Mandalorian land on Disney Plus, it was revealed back in February that they were looking at an October 2020 release date.
However, with the Coronavirus pandemic, that date might be pushed back slightly.
It was revealed via Twitter that Bob Iger told investors during a recent earnings report.
Iger told investors that The Mandalorian Season 2 would be coming out in October of this year.
That might be pushed back to December 2020 or maybe even early 2021 thanks to the Coronavirus.

They’ll be some returning characters to Season 2.
Pedro Pascal will be back as The Mandalorian, of course. He will be joined by the incredibly cute Baby Yoda.
Other confirmed cast members include Carl Weathers and Rosario Dawson who’ll be playing Ahsoka Tano in the next season.
There are also rumours that Captain Rex will feature in Season 2.
