The Mandalorian Season 2 will be coming to Disney Plus in October and there are rumours it could feature Boba Fett as one of the main villain.
When it was first revealed that Jon Favreau was working on a show called The Mandalorian, many Star Wars fans got rather excited.
Some were excited because it was going to be the first ever live-action Star Wars show.
Others were also excited because it meant that we might get to see the return of a fan favourite Star Wars character: Boba Fett.
Boba Fett supposedly died (rather unceremoniously) in Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi.
He was dispatched way too easily at the very beginning of the movie.
Fett was knocked over and then fell into the Sarlacc’s Pit, and it was a really stupid death.
Is Boba Fett going to be in The Mandalorian Season 2?

However, he was then resurrected in the Legends continuity of Star Wars books and comics, however, they are no longer considered ‘canon’ after Disney purchased Lucasfilm.
Yet, with The Mandalorian, there’s now a chance that we could see Boba Fett be brought back to ‘life’.
There have been some hints at another mysterious character lurking in the background in The Mandalorian Season 1.
In one of the episodes, we could see the shadow of a figure looking over an unconscious Mandalorian.
This figure looked a lot like another Mandalorian, and it really got me thinking that they were going to bring the character back.
First off, it would be the right thing to do.
The character deserve more than what he got in Return of the Jedi.
It’s also very plausible that he would have been able to escape the Sarlacc’s Pit and it would make the Star Wars fanbase incredibly happy.
That’s what this show is all about after all: making Star Wars fans happy.
Who is going to be Season 2’s main villain?

I’m almost positive that The Mandalorian Season 2 will see Boba Fett return.
Why you ask? Because of the episode titles that leaked.
According to Emre Kaya on Twitter, these are what the episode titles for The Mandalorian Season 2 will be:
Chapter One: The Search
Chapter Two: The Confrontation
Chapter Three: The Bounty
Chapter Four: The Republic
Chapter Five: The Loyalist
Chapter Six: The Sorcerer
Chapter Seven: The Return
Chapter Eight: The Empire
At first glance, there’s not much here to suggest that Boba Fett will be returning in Season 2.
However, there’s the title of episode 3, The Bounty, which has me thinking this could be the episode where Boba Fett makes his long-awaited return.
Boba Fett is a bounty hunter, just like The Mandalorian, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the episode where he comes mask-to-mask with Star Wars’ other famous bounty hunter.
There’s also the episode called The Return which could be hinting at Boba Fett’s ‘return’.
I also think that The Sorcerer will be the episode where Ahsoka Tano makes her long-awaited live-action debut.
Have there been any clues that Boba Fett is even going to be in The Mandalorian?

However, I’m not so sure whether Boba Fett will be a villain in The Mandalorian Season 2.
I have an inkling that he might not be so keen to side with the remanence of the Empire.
It’s pretty clear that Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon will be Season 2’s main villain and I think that Boba Fett will be looking for the Darksaber which is in Gideon’s possession.
I actually think the whole season will resolve around the Darksaber because it’s a big deal and they made a big deal about it at the end of Season 1.
The Darksaber was an ancient and unique black-bladed lightsaber created by Tarre Vizsla.
Tarre was the first Mandalorian to get into the Jedi Order.
Star Wars Rebels’ Sabine Wren was in possession of the Darksaber for a while.
Season 2 could be all about the Darksaber

She then gave the Darksaber over to Bo-Katan Kryze.
She thought was the right person to lead the Mandalorians against the Empire.
However, it then ended up in Moff Gideon’s possession, and I think The Mandalorians might want it back.
