Did Rian Johnson Just Spoil Baby Yoda Being In The Mandalorian Season 2?

So, people are loving Baby Yoda at the moment in Disney Plus’ new Star Wars live-action series, The Mandalorian, however, we’re not so sure whether the little guy (or girl) will make it to Season 2.

However, Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s writer/director might have just spoiled the fact that the cute little green creature will be in Season 2 of The Mandalorian.

Rian Johnson was talking to The Wrap, and during the interview (in which he was promoting his brilliant new film, Knives Out) he was asked about Baby Yoda.

This was when the writer/director started gushing about Baby Yoda, and inadvertently spoiled the fact that she will be in the second season of The Mandalorian.

Here’s what Rian Johnson had to say about Baby Yoda:

He’s amazing! I visited the set of The Mandalorian a month ago, and I spotted Baby Yoda in the corner and the producer shot me a look as if to say, ‘You can’t say a word!’ I’ve been holding that secret in my heart for forever now. And the memes are amazing. I’m very pro-Baby Yoda.

The fact that Johnson visited the set of The Mandalorian two months ago and Baby Yoda was there basically confirms that the character will be in Season 2 because that’s what they’re currently filming.

It really does seem as though people are losing their collective minds over this new Star Wars character.

Before this little guy, there were only two known characters of this same species in the Star Wars universe: Yoda and Yaddle.

I just wonder what this one will be called. My money’s on Yodella, or Yodetta, but I’m sure many of you could come up with much better names.

As for Johnson, hist new film, Knives Out is out in cinemas right now, and I implore you to go and watch it because it’s a brilliant movie. It’s one of my favourite films of the year, and I see a lot of films.
