After being stuck in the doldrums of development hell for ages, it’s great to see the film finally commence production.
It is likely that the film will draw inspiration from the Flashpoint storyline in the comics.
This would certainly offer up lots of possibilities for sequels.
Ezra Miller will once again reprise the role of Barry Allen/The Flash.
But we do know that Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton are both returning to their roles as Bruce Wayne/Batman.
Additionally, the film will see the debut of Supergirl into the DCEU, with Sasha Calle making her film debut in the role.
Christina Hodson wrote the script for the film, which will be directed by Andy Muschetti.
Given that we’re still over a year away from The Flash‘s release, we’d say this should be taken with a pinch of salt.
The Flash will speed its way into cinemas on 4 November 2022.
