It’s been revealed that The CW has fired Hartley Sawyer who plays Ralph Dibny in The Flash and he won’t be returning for Season 7.
This news did come as a bit of a shock to me, but it looks like Sawyer’s time as Ralph, a.k.a. Elongated Man, in The CW TV show is over.
He’s been on the show for the last three seasons and has become an integral part of Team Flash.
Ralph Dibny started off as being a bit of an annoying character.
But, we’ve kind of grown to love him in the last few seasons.
It was revealed that Sawyer was fired for posting some racist and misogynistic tweets between 2012 and 2014.
Sawyer has since issued a statement via his Instagram account in which he apologises for his actions.

The tweets in question were posted between 2012 and 2014.
In one of them, the actor wrote: “The only thing keeping me from doing mildly racist tweets is the knowledge that Al Sharpton would never stop complaining about me.”
In another tweet from 2012, Sawyer wrote: “as a lad, one of my favorite activities was kidnapping homeless women and cutting off their breasts.”
They’re kind of all in that vein and not very funny at all.
The CW wasted no time in firing Sawyer when these tweets were unearthed.
It means that Ralph Dibny will probably be written out of the show.
