The Flash To Be Screened Much Earlier Than Expected

It’s been revealed that Warner Bros. Pictures’ The Flash movie will be screened in full much earlier than any of us expected it to be. It’s being reported that the DC Studios film will be screened in full at CinemaCon 2023 this April, allowing lucky exhibitors to watch the movie in its entirety.

CinemaCon is a convention that takes place in Las Vegas. It’ll be taking place on the last weekend of April this year, and it’s a place where cinema owners and theatrical exhibitors get to watch and preview upcoming Hollywood releases.

So, it’s not general moviegoers that will get to watch the movie. However, given the fact that this screening will happen over a month before the movie’s general release, it seems as though Warner Bros. Pictures is very, very confident in the film.

So, Variety revealed that The Flash movie would be screened at CinemaCon later this year, which is a bold move on Warner Bros. Pictures’ behalf.

Moreover, DC Studios’ new co-CEO, James Gunn, has revealed that Andy Muschietti’s DC Comics movie is pretty darn good. Here’s what Gunn had to say about the film earlier this year:

The Flash was f-cking amazing. It’s one of the best superhero movies I’ve ever seen. Andy Muschietti did an amazing job, and I’m really excited for everybody to see it.

Gunn then went on to confirm that The Flash’s director, Andy Muschietti, has already been in talks with him and Gunn’s DC Studios co-CEO, Peter Safran, about directing new movies in the DC Universe.

One of the things that still is up in the air when it comes to this upcoming movie is what will happen with its lead actor, Ezra Miller. Will Miller get to play Barry Allen again in the future?

If they are planning on making a sequel, will Miller be starring in it, or will Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios rather want to move away from the relatively problematic character? Honestly, we don’t know. It’s still not very clear what Warner Bros and DC Studios’ plans are as far as The Flash and Ezra Miller are concerned.

However, DC Studios’ co-CEO, Peter Safran, did talk about Ezra Miller not too long ago and their future with the DC Universe. Here’s what Safran had to say on the matter:

Ezra is completely committed to their recovery. And we are fully supportive of that journey that they’re on right now. When the time is right, when they feel like they’re ready to have the discussion, we’ll all figure out what the best path forward is.

But right now, they are completely focused on their recovery. And in our conversations with them over the last couple of months, it feels like they’re making enormous progress.

It will be really interesting to see what ends up happening in this movie. Also, it’ll be interesting to see which DC characters turn up. There have been so many rumours over the years about this DC movie it’s hard to know which rumours are true and which ones are just made up.

The Flash is going to be released in cinemas in the United Kingdom and the United States on June 16th, 2023.
