The Flash 2 To Introduce The Legion Of Doom

It’s being reported that The Flash 2 is going to introduce the DC Comics supervillain team, The Legion Of Doom, which I cannot wait to see in live-action. This report comes from Kieran Bugg over at Geekosity, and I think it’s about time that we see The Legion Of Doom in the DC Comics movies. There’s been some pretty interesting stuff happening with them in the comics. It’s going to be really interesting to see what they end up doing with the supervillain gang in the DC films.

I’ve been hearing for quite some time that Warner Bros. Pictures has been very interested in bringing the Legion Of Doom into live-action. We’ve already seen the Justice League. Black Adam has now introduced audiences to the Justice Society. We’ve also seen two Suicide Squad movies. These DC Comics teams are all ‘good guys’. Well, apart from the Suicide Squad, who are technically villains, yet they are villains fighting bigger and more dangerous villains. I think it’s about time that we get the proper bad-guy team: the Legion Of Doom!

Here’s what Geekosity’s Kieran Bugg had to say about The Flash 2 bringing the Legion Of Doom into the DC Comics films:

According to the movie’s original storyboards the line-up featured both old and new DCEU villains. The team in the scrapped sequel would’ve included Luthor, Dr. Poison, Black Manta, Ocean Master, Captain Cold and The Riddler.

So, it seems as though this upcoming Flash sequel film has big plans to bring in even more villains into the DC Comics films. It was revealed not too long ago that the script for the movie’s sequel has already been written. So, it sounds as though it’s all steam ahead with The Flash 2 and, therefore, the Legion Of Doom.

The members of the Legion Of Doom vary in the comics. The whole thing was started by Lex Luthor. It has, over the years, included villains such as Bizarro, Black Manta, Brainiac, Captain Cold, Cheetah, Giganta, Gorilla Grodd, Riddler, Scarecrow, Sinestro, Solomon Grundy and Toyman. In a recent run of the comics. we saw the Joker join the legion, and then he ended up leaving it in rather specular fashion.

Now, I’m pretty certain that this Flash sequel will stick to the core members of the Legion. So, it seems Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen will have to go up against a formidable team of supervillains in the upcoming sequel movie. This all comes after there has been much speculation that Warners might be considering replacing Miller with another actor in the role. This is due to all the controversies surrounding the actor over the past year.

The Flash will be released in cinemas on June 23rd, 2023, in the United States and the United Kingdom. Are you looking forward to watching the movie when it’s released?
