It’s been revealed that Terrifier 2’s release date has been pushed back all the way to 2021 and it’s all because of COVID-19. Thanks COVID…
They revealed this sad news via the film’s Facebook page and I was really upset by this delay.
I honestly believe that 2016’s Terrifier is one of the most underrated horror movies of all time.
I was really looking forward to watching Terrifier 2 this year.
However, unfortunately, it looks like we’re going to have to wait a few months for the movie.
It sounds like COVID-19 played a huge part in Terrifier 2 being delayed.
It also sounds like they’ve really struggled to get the film made during lockdown and it’s put a huge delay on the movie’s release date.
You can have a look at what they revealed via their Facebook page below.

Here’s the important part of the rather long announcement about Terrifier 2’s release date being pushed back:
Our initial goal was to have it out this month but like every other production, Covid set us back big time. We are finally heading into our final stretch of filming currently and our new goal is to have the film completed by early 2021. However, that does not mean we will have distribution secured. That will be the next step upon completion.
So, it sounds like they still don’t have an official release date for the movie.
We might end up having to wait until 2022.
Hopefully not though.
