Taron Egerton has addressed the many rumours that link him to the Wolverine role in the MCU.
As per Digital Spy, Egerton appeared on an episode of The One Show last month.
During his interview, the subject of whether he’s in contention to don the claws of Wolverine came up.

Addressing those issues directly, Egerton said:
“There’s no truth in it at all. There’s no truth in it. It would, be, obviously, really exciting, but I don’t know.
When asked if he would be interested in one day taking on such a role, the Kingsman star commented:
Yeah, of course. That’s like playing Bond. It would be exciting to play a role where you play to by such a huge audience. Those movies are the most watched movies in the world. It’s a great thrill and it’s a great part. But there’s no truth in it. Very flattering, though.
Egerton has proved he can take on a leading role in a comic book movie in the past, as his breakout role came in 2015’s Kingsman: The Secret Service,
He also earned widespread acclaim for his portrayal of Elton John in 2019’s Rocketman.
He’s certainly got the talent to take on a role in the MCU.
The X-Men are certainly bound to appear in the MCU at some point, when they do, let’s hope Kevin Feige can give Egerton a call.
But, any actor taking on the role of Wolverine will have some big big claws to fill.
