Swamp Thing Is Joining J.J. Abrams’ Justice League Dark HBO Max Series

It’s been revealed that Swamp Thing will be part of J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Justice League Dark series which they’re making for HBO Max.

This news comes to us from our good friends over at Geekosity, and it’s great news because the character is so interesting.

I really feel like the DC Comics character has been very much unloved over the past few years.

He’s been unloved by both DC Comics and Warner Bros. Pictures (or DC Films).

There was a Swamp Thing series that was produced by James Wan and it was actually pretty decent.

However, it ended up being cancelled because it was just too expensive to make.

Well, it seems as though the character will now be a part of Justice League Dark which is a series being made by Abrams’ studio, Bad Robot.

This Justice League Dark series will air on HBO Max and will be just one of the many DC Comics properties Bad Robot will be adapting for the big and small screens.

Here’s what Mikey Sutton over at Geekosity had to say about Swamp Thing being a part of the Justice League Dark series on HBO Max:

I am hearing that Swamp Thing is now planned for J.J. Abrams’ Justice League Dark series on HBO Max. There are talks of the guardian of the green spinning off into his own show on the streamer. This Swamp Thing will have absolutely no connection to the DC Universe version.
