A Superman cameo in Black Adam has been teased in the DC Universe movie’s new TV spot. OK, let’s get into the weeds of this story and why people think this new TV spot might be hinting at a cameo from the Man Of Steel himself. The TV spot was released not too long ago, and already the Internet (Twitter mostly) has been flooded with posts suggesting that Henry Cavill will be returning as his DC Comics character. So, why is this?
Well, in the TV spot, Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam says the line: “There’s no one on this planet that can stop me”. This got people very, very excited because there might be one person in the DC Universe that might be able to stop Black Adam and he’s not from “this planet”. He’s from Krypton, and his name is Clark Kent – aka the Man Of Steel, aka Superman, aka Supes.

There have been so many reports in the past few weeks suggesting that Henry Cavill would be returning as the Man Of Steel to the DC Universe. However, we still don’t know whether a Superman cameo is really going to happen in the upcoming Black Adam movie, or even in the wider DC Universe. It’s been reported that Cavill has been playing hardball and wants more money from Warner Bros Discovery to return to the role.
This might be true, but we’re also hearing reports that Cavill and Marvel Studios have been in talks over a pretty cool role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So, we just don’t really know what’s going on with Cavill and Superman are the moment. It would be wonderful to see him return to the role in the not-so-distant future. However, it might not happen. That said, it really does seem as though all the signs are pointing towards Cavill making a cameo as Supes in Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam movie. However, I have a feeling it might not be the right moment for him to return.

We’re going to have to wait and see what ends up happening. However, I really do think that Cavill isn’t quite done with the Man Of Steel just yet. He has already stated on multiple occasions that he would love to return to the role. That’s why I’m not so sure there’s any real truth to the reports that Cavill’s not that interested and just wants more money. What would be more understandable is if Cavill is just too focused on his other projects right now to really consider a return as Superman.
Cavill’s got a lot of other projects in development at the moment. He’s still playing Geralt Of Rivia in Netflix’s The Witcher, and it looks like that show is going to go on for quite some time. Then he’s also got the Highlander reboot/sequel that’s in the works. He’s also very keen on getting other projects off the ground, such as his Mass Effect movie/TV show – whatever that project ends up being. He’s also returning as Sherlock Holmes in Enola Holmes 2.
