Suicide Squad Director Says Jared Leto’s Joker Performance Was ‘Ripped Out’ The Film

Suicide Squad’s writer and director, David Ayer, has claimed that Jared Leto’s performance as The Joker in his movie was ‘ripped out’ of the film.

It seems as though David Ayer’s been pulling a bit of a Zack Snyder of late.

He’s been very vocal on Twitter about his Suicide Squad movie.

The writer and director has done things such as claim that his cut of the movie was going to be much darker than the one we got.

He’s also now revealed that Jared Leto’s performance as the Joker in the movie was, as he put it “ripped out” of it.

David Ayer’s words will probably bolster the cry for Warner Bros. Pictures to release his cut of Suicide Squad on HBO Max.

Here’s what Ayer revealed about Leto’s performance in Suicide Squad:

Jared was pretty mistreated during this. No one has seen his performance. It was ripped out of the movie.

This is a pretty big claim to make, and I’m sure that people will now be dying to get to see Ayer’s version of the movie.

They’ll want to see what the initial vision for Jared’s Joker was, as opposed to the awful performance we got in the theatrical version of the film.
