It’s been revealed that Stargirl Season 3’s release date has been pushed to this fall by The CW which means we’re going to have to wait a bit longer until we get to watch Season 3.
This news was revealed by The Hollywood Reporter.
According to their report, Stargirl Season 3 will not premiere this summer as it was originally intended.
Instead, Stargirl will now occupy the Wednesday night slot this fall at 8pm.
The Hollywood Reporter’s article also revealed that the new season of Kung Fu will air on Wednesday nights at 9pm just after Stargirl.
Not much is known as to why The CW decided to push Stargirl Season 3’s release date back a few months.
However, there has been some speculation that The CW did this in order to give themselves a bit more time to decide whether they should renew the show for a fourth season.

The Stargirl series originally started off as a DC Universe original.
However, it was moved over to The CW even though it’s set in a different Earth to the other DC Comics shows on The CW.
Therefore, Stargirl isn’t technically set in the Arrowverse, however, Brec Bassinger’s Courtney Whitmore was originally introduced in the Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover event.
The only other thing that connected the series to the Arrowverse was that John Wesley Shipp reprised his role as Jay Garrick/The Flash in Stargirl Season 2.
Apart from that, there have been no formal crossovers between Stargirl and the Arrowverse.
