Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker isn’t too far away from release now, and Kevin Smith has revealed that the film’s ending will “melt your mind”.
Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker is going to be one of the biggest films of 2019. It might even give Avengers: Endgame a run for its money, at least, I think it might.
Endgame has already broken every box-office record ever, and I wouldn’t be surprised if J.J. Abrams second Star Wars film, and the movie which will wrap up this new Star Wars trilogy, will come close to beating those records.
People are desperate to know what will happen in that final film, and the very first teaser trailer had fans very excited, especially given the inclusion of Palpatine’s sardonic laugh at the very end.
One of those fans is director/writer and all-round geek, Kevin Smith. He recently got to visit the set of The Rise Of Skywalker and he revealed during an interview with IGN that the film’s ending will be something to behold.
“They were like, ‘You have to see this. When you see it, it’ll melt your mind.’ I was like, ‘What was it?’ and they were like ‘Ask J.J.’” he told IGN.
Smith continued: “He goes, ‘Don’t.’ I said ‘Why?’ And he said ‘It’s the last shot of the movie.’ I was like, well, now I really want to see it, and he said ‘You don’t want this spoiled. You want to be in a theatre when you see this, trust me.'”
He doesn’t go on to say what will melt our minds exactly, yet it does sound rather promising. I’m pretty sure that it’s going to be a very big deal and will involve Rey (played by Daisy Ridley), Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and his Knights of Ren.
That would be an epic conclusion to this new Star Wars trilogy and one which will undoubtedly please the fans.
