New Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Clip With Flying Stormtroopers Has Been Released

Everybody loves a new kind of Stormtrooper, and it looks like J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will feature a few of them, and one new type of Stormtrooper has been teased in this new clip from the movie.

In the clip, which was released on Star Wars’ Twitter page, we find our new Star Wars heroes – Rey (played by Daisey Ridley), Poe (Oscar Isaac), Finn (John Boyega) and BB8 – and some old ones – C3PO and Chewie – being chased by Stormtroopers on a sandy planet.

Yet, these Stormtroopers aren’t your run of the mill Stormtroopers. They ones can fly.

“They fly now?” asks Finn in the clip. He turns and looks at Poe who confirms: “They fly now”.

It’s both an exhilarating and slightly amusing scene, in traditional Star Wars fashion.

It does seem as though Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will keep that Star Wars sense of humour we’ve become so accustomed to over the years.

However, these new flying Stormtroopers won’t be the only new ones in the movie.

We’re also going to see the new Sith Troopers, which were recently teased via an Empire Magzine exclusive image.

These new troopers will be all dressed in red armour and they look incredibly cool.

It’s not known how these new troopers will fit into the movie or whether they’ll be Force users.

However, it is suspected that they might be directly connected to Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), and they could be better at fighting than your ordinary Stormtrooper.

Maybe they’ll be able to actually hit a moving target with their basters. That would be interesting for our new Star Wars heroes, who up until this point haven’t had much trouble from Stormtroopers.
